Dr. Todd Trostel
Dr. Trostel was born and raised in Texas. He received his undergraduate degrees and DVM degree from Texas A & M University. After a few years in day and emergency practices, he went on to complete a small animal rotating internship at the University of Illinois, followed by a surgical residency at Mississippi State University. Upon completion of his residency, he joined California Veterinary Specialists in Carlsbad/Murrieta where he served as the primary staff surgeon. Dr. Trostel is currently pursuing board certification, as well as finishing his Masters degree. His research interests include wound healing and fracture biomechanics in bone repair. In his spare time, he enjoys biking, golf, and any outdoor activity.
Dr. Trostel is available for consults Monday through Thursday and on call for emergency referrals through our emergency & critical care department.
